Shifts: 6:30am to 6:30pm

We are recruiting a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop responsible for maintaining a fleet of HGVs, LGVs, and trailers. This role offers a stable position with an excellent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, ongoing manufacturer training, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities : HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, LGVs, and trailers
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Work efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Support colleagues to deliver high-quality workmanship

Skills and Experience: HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter

Essential

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience maintaining HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Desirable

• IRTEC accreditation
• HGV Class 1 licence
• Manufacturer or dealership experience
