Licensing & Enforcement Processing Officer

Location: Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 and Hybrid working with 3 days a week in office

Pay Rate: £18.65 per hour PAYE

Contract: Temporary – Up to 6 Months

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for five temporary Licensing & Enforcement Processing Officers to support the Licensing Service during a critical period of change. They are currently managing a backlog of approximately 1,600 licence applications that must be processed ahead of a major system migration. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, supportive team and play a key role in ensuring applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of licence applications in line with council procedures and service standards.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy, requesting additional information where
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
• Respond to enquiries from applicants and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
• Support the Licensing team with a range of administrative and processing duties as required.
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

About You

• Previous experience in administration, processing, or a similar office-based role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience within licensing or local government is desirable but not essential.
