An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent small animal veterinary practice in South Lanarkshire.

This well-established practice has been caring for pets in the local community for many years and is built on a genuine passion for delivering outstanding veterinary care. With over 30 years of combined veterinary experience within the clinical team, the practice prides itself on providing a high standard of medicine while maintaining a personal, community-focused approach.

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will become the third vet in a close-knit, supportive team, working alongside experienced colleagues and a dedicated nursing team. The practice offers genuine clinical freedom, encouraging vets to make clinical decisions with confidence while also providing the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the practice.

The practice is looking for a confident and personable Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who will enjoy building relationships with clients and providing exceptional patient care.

Applicants should have:

• MRCVS registration
• Confidence with routine consultations and small animal surgery
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A compassionate approach to patient and client care
• A desire to contribute to a collaborative and supportive independent practice

The Rota

This role has been designed with work-life balance in mind.

• Around 35 hours per week
• Flexible 3 or 4-day working week
• Weekday hours of 8:30am – 6:30pm
• Currently 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9:00am – 12:00pm)
• Potential move to a Monday to Friday rota with no weekends from September
• No out-of-hours or on-call commitments
