🌱 Inclusive Learning Pathway Support

Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30

We are seeking Inclusive Learning Pathway Support staff to work within one of our partner SEND schools in Northumberland. This exceptional setting delivers a therapeutic and holistic curriculum tailored to children with Autism, speech and language difficulties, developmental delay, and complex communication needs. The school incorporates approaches such as Forest School, sensory-based learning, and creative interventions, supported by excellent facilities, on-site therapists, and a highly supportive Senior Leadership Team. There are strong opportunities for long-term and permanent roles for the right candidates.

This rewarding role focuses on supporting children within an inclusive learning pathway, many of whom are non-verbal or have significant communication and interaction needs. You will help pupils regulate emotions, build independence, develop communication, and access learning in ways that meet their individual needs.

You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a structured, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, understood, and empowered to thrive.

🕒 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

💡 What You Need

  • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within SEND, Autism, SLCN, or complex needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to support non-verbal communication

  • The ability to provide two recent references (work-based or educational)

  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting emotional regulation and learning

  • A genuine passion for inclusion, wellbeing, and child-centred education

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils within the Inclusive Learning Pathway, both in and out of the classroom

  • Support children with Autism, speech and language needs, and developmental delays to access learning

  • Support pupils during sensory-based learning, therapeutic sessions, outdoor learning, and Forest School activities

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, SLT, and on-site therapists to ensure consistent, holistic support

  • Contribute to pastoral care, helping pupils feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing progress and celebrating achievements

🌈 Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking SEND school with a strong inclusive and therapeutic ethos, excellent facilities, and a leadership team that truly values its staff. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine, lasting impact on children’s lives while gaining valuable experience and access to long-term and permanent opportunities.
