Nursery Room Manager Duties:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery room

• Provide high-quality care and education for all children

• Support and mentor a team of Nursery Practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare

• Follow the EYFS framework and nursery curriculum

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development

• Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment is maintained at all times

• Act as a key person and build strong relationships with children and their families

• Monitor and assess children’s progress and development

• Maintain accurate records, observations, and individual learning plans

• Work closely with parents, colleagues, and external professionals

• Support safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all children

• Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain high standards

Nursery Room Manager Requirements:

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (essential)

• Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or Nursery Room Manager

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework

• Experience leading and supporting a team within an Early Years setting

• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Passion for childcare and supporting children’s development

• Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
