The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across a range of curriculum areas
  • Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
  • Supporting children with SEND and other barriers to learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement in the classroom
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

This role is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in:

About You

  • Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
  • Have studied Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show a genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development
  • Be eager to gain practical, school-based experience
  • Be considering a future career within education
  • Have the right to work in the UK
