STEM Teacher – The Role
As a STEM Teacher, you will inspire students across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines, helping to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation.
Depending on your specialism and the school's requirements, you may teach within Mathematics, Science, Computing, Engineering, or a combination of STEM-related subjects.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality STEM lessons
Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available
Monitoring, assessing, and tracking student progress
Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking
Supporting extracurricular STEM activities and enrichment programmes
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
STEM Teacher – Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training
A degree in a STEM-related subject (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computing, or similar)
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for STEM education
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for students
ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
Applicants must live within approximately one hour's commute of SE9 1BJ or be willing to relocate to South East London
