SEN Teaching Assistant - Morden Specialist SEN School | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity £500 - £650 per week | September Start Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? A highly regarded specialist SEN school based in Morden is seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The school supports pupils aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties and moderate learning needs. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured, nurturing and engaging environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and senior leaders to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will help students access learning, develop communication skills, build confidence and work towards their individual EHCP targets. Key responsibilities: - Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis - Assist students with Autism, communication needs and additional learning difficulties - Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes and EHCP outcomes - Encourage independence, emotional regulation and positive engagement - Work collaboratively with teachers, Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists - Support behaviour management strategies and therapeutic approaches - Monitor progress and contribute to pupil observations and reports You will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success within a supportive specialist environment. We are looking for: - Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, Autism or additional needs - Graduates interested in SEN, teaching, psychology or therapy careers - Strong communication skills, resilience and a positive attitude - A patient, nurturing and proactive approach - Experience within education, care, youth work or support work is desirable but not essential The school offers excellent training, strong leadership support and genuine opportunities for progression within specialist education.
