Salary: In line with the Main/Upper Teaching Pay Scale

Start Date: September

Are you a Maths teacher who wants to make a real difference in students’ lives?

Looking for a role where you can help shape a brand new school from the very beginning?

If so, this could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Maths Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built specialist secondary school opening this September in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something from day one - helping to create a supportive and engaging environment for young people aged 11–18 who need additional support to succeed.

If you’re after a role where you can genuinely impact students’ confidence and progress in Maths, this could be a great fit.

About The Role

You’ll be delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The aim is to build confidence with numbers, develop problem-solving skills, and help students see Maths as something they can succeed in.

This role requires a flexible and creative approach, adapting lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs. You’ll be working closely with students who benefit from a more personalised and supportive teaching style, so patience and adaptability are key.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary in line with the Main/Upper Teaching Pay Scale

  • September start date

  • Easily accessible Manchester location with great transport links

  • The opportunity to shape the Maths provision in a brand new school

  • A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team

  • Modern, purpose-built facilities designed to support high-quality teaching

  • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day

  • Ongoing professional development opportunities

 About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and the right mindset:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum

  • GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths (or equivalent)

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • A patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Full right to work within the UK

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings

  • Knowledge of differentiated and personalised learning strategies

  • Understanding of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches

Why Choose This Role?

This is more than just a teaching job - it’s an opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in supporting students to overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve success in Maths.
