Salary: MPS + TLR2a

Are you an experienced primary teacher with a passion for inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs?

Do you have the drive to ensure every child is given the opportunity to thrive, both in the classroom and across the whole school?

Are you an experienced SENCo or a SEN specialist looking for your first formal SENCo role?

We are recruiting for a Class Teacher with SENCo responsibility to join a warm, inclusive and values-driven primary school in the St Helens area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is committed to making a genuine impact, both within their own classroom and across the wider school community through SEND leadership.

The role is equally suited to an established SENCo or a strong classroom practitioner looking to step into their first formal SENCo position, with support and development provided. The school places inclusion at the heart of everything it does and is looking for someone who can champion this vision while continuing to deliver high-quality teaching.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-time, permanent position starting September 2026
  • Salary in line with MPS + TLR2a
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching within your assigned class
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued
  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school in line with statutory requirements
  • Oversee EHCPs, provision mapping, and targeted interventions
  • Monitor and track progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring effective support strategies are in place
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to secure the best outcomes
  • Promote and model outstanding inclusive practice across the school
  • Support staff development and contribute to a strong culture of CPD

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS and strong classroom experience
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination or is willing to complete it
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Strong leadership potential with the ability to think strategically and drive improvement
  • A compassionate and inclusive approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What the Role Offers:
This Class Teacher with SENCo role offers a unique opportunity to combine excellent classroom teaching with impactful whole-school leadership. You will play a pivotal role in shaping SEND provision, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.

About the School Environment:
KPI Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the St Helens area that is built around strong values, a supportive team ethos, and a commitment to helping every individual thrive. The school has a close-knit community feel, with a leadership team that prioritises staff development and pupil wellbeing. Inclusion is central to the school’s ethos, and staff work collaboratively to ensure all children are supported to flourish both in and out of the classroom.
