Salary: £23,500 – £25,000

On behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Sheffield area, we are seeking a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those due to graduate this academic year who are considering a long-term career in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist teachers in providing tailored support to help children overcome barriers
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Roles available with immediate start until the end of the academic year
  • September starts also available

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Graduates with a 2:2 degree or above (Education, Psychology, or core subjects preferred)
  • Individuals with a caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Recent experience working with children or young people preferred but not essential (school-based or otherwise)
  • An interest in supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

About the Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include working closely with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as supporting small groups within the classroom. You will collaborate with experienced teachers to provide essential support and give these pupils the best opportunity to reach their personal goals.
