Finance Administrator / Trainee Accountant

Looking to kickstart a career in accountancy with a clear progression route?

We are supporting a private client, an independent, UK-wide professional services business in recruiting a Trainee Accountant. You will be mentored directly by an experienced business professional who is passionate about developing talent from the ground up.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious A-level leaver (or graduate) to gain hands-on experience while studying towards AAT, with a clear pathway to ACA and long-term progression as you grow with the business.

What you'll do:

• Support preparation of accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Learn accounting systems and client processes
• Gain exposure to tax and compliance work
• Build strong client relationships as you develop

What we're looking for:

• Strong A-level results (A/A* preferred) or a relevant degree
• Genuine interest in accountancy and finance
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Confident communicator
• Based locally to Ilkley, West Yorkshire
• Motivated to study AAT and progress to ACA
