Driver's Mates – Lanark

Urgent requirement / guaranteed 48 hours per week / temp - perm opportunity

People Solutions are currently recruiting a Driver’s Mate on behalf of our client based in Lanark.

This is an immediate start opportunity offering guaranteed full-time hours and the chance to secure a permanent position for reliable candidates.

The site is in Lanark and you must be able to drive and have your own transport due to early start times.

Shifts:

•  Monday to Friday
•  Start times can be as early as 4:00am
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week

Pay Rate:

 £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Driver's Mate will be:

•  Assisting drivers with deliveries to customer's homes
•  Loading and unloading products safely (heavy lifting involved)
•  Supporting with route completion and paperwork
•  Delivering excellent customer service
•  Following all health & safety procedures

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be a Driver's Mate will be:

•  Must drive and have access to your own transport due to location of the site and start times
•  Able to travel to Lanark for early morning starts
•  Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
•  Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Training:

•  Site assessment prior to start
•  Manual handling training provided
•  Drug and alcohol test required before starting
