Senior Civil Engineer

This opportunity sits with a leading international renewable energy company that delivers large scale solar and battery projects across the UK, Europe, Africa and further afield. Sponsorship is available and the company operates a hybrid model with two days a week in the London office. Salary is £60000 to £75000 DOE.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design for utility scale solar and storage projects across multiple regions
• Produce and review layouts, foundations, access roads, drainage and earthworks
• Review geotechnical, hydrological and topographical reports
• Optimise site design to reduce cost and improve constructability
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant engineering standards and requirements
• Review contractor drawings, design proposals and method statements
• Carry out site inspections and resolve civil engineering issues during construction
• Work closely with electrical and mechanical teams to coordinate full project design
• Support project managers with schedules, cost planning and risk management

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Five to seven years experience in civil design for infrastructure or solar projects
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D and drainage modelling software
• Good understanding of UK and international standards for earthworks, drainage and stormwater management
• Experience working on international projects or across multiple regions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multi disciplinary team
• Willingness to travel for site visits
