Job Description:

Position Overview: As a 3.5 Tonne Refuse Driver with CPC  you will play a crucial role in the collection and transportation of waste materials from residential and commercial areas. Your responsibilities will include driving a 3.5-tonne refuse collection vehicle, adhering to safety regulations, and ensuring the efficient and environmentally friendly disposal of refuse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 3.5-tonne refuse collection vehicle to pick up waste from designated routes.
• Ensure the proper and environmentally responsible collection and disposal of refuse.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to optimize collection efficiency.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of waste bins and containers as required.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and complete relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with residents and commercial clients, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle any unexpected situations or issues on the road responsibly and promptly.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK Driver's License with Category B (up to 3.5-tonne vehicles).
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1  years of experience as a 3.5 Tonne Refuse Driver.
• Knowledge of waste collection and disposal regulations.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks related to waste collection.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and safety.
