TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Pupil Referral Unit / PRU in Bury that supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The provision is focused on providing a supportive environment where pupils can develop positive relationships, improve their engagement and make progress.

The school is looking to take on a Youth Worker on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Youth Worker will support pupils with SEMH needs, helping to manage challenging behaviour, encourage positive engagement and provide consistent pastoral support throughout the school day.

The successful Youth Worker will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour within an education, youth work or similar setting
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
