Are you confident delivering engaging lessons that improve student achievement and GCSE outcomes?

TeacherActive is working with a specialist 14–16 education provision in Warwick to recruit a dedicated GCSE English Language Teacher. This inclusive setting combines core GCSE subjects with vocational pathways in Engineering and Motor Vehicle, helping students develop essential skills and prepare for their future.

The successful candidate will deliver GCSE English Language, develop students' literacy and communication skills, and adapt teaching to support learners with SEND and SEMH needs.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week, including 25 teaching hours during the 39-week teaching year.

The successful candidate will have:

• QTS, QTLS or PGCE, alongside a relevant degree.

• Experience teaching GCSE English Language, including AQA, Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.

• Strong knowledge of reading comprehension, language analysis and creative and transactional writing.

• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or EAL needs.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• The ability to differentiate lessons, assess progress and improve GCSE outcomes.

• A patient, resilient and enthusiastic approach.
