Job Coach / Specialist Student Support – Secondary Education

Milk Education is recruiting for two exciting opportunities for Job Coaches to support young people across specialist and mainstream secondary education settings in Leeds.

These roles offer the opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and develop the skills they need to progress towards their future goals.

The Opportunities

Job Coach – Employability & Careers Support
Support young people with SEND and additional needs to develop their employability skills, prepare for the workplace and work towards greater independence. This role may involve supporting work experience, vocational learning, careers development and pathways into supported internships or employment.

Job Coach – Specialist One-to-One Support
Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a secondary-aged student within an alternative provision. The successful candidate will need to build a trusting relationship, provide consistent and adaptable support, and respond sensitively to individual needs, including potentially fluctuating physical, neurological and emotional needs.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting young people in education, SEND, alternative provision, mentoring, careers or employability settings.

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach, with the ability to build positive relationships.

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.

• An understanding of additional needs, neurodiversity and barriers to learning.

• For the employability-focused role, experience with careers advice, vocational learning, work placements or job coaching would be advantageous.

• For the specialist one-to-one role, experience supporting students with complex needs, SEND or SEMH would be particularly valuable.
