TeacherActive is currently recruiting Morning Club Assistants to support Primary Schools across Coventry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible, casual or part-time employment, with the chance to work in different school environments and gain valuable experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are also willing to support After School Clubs, providing opportunities to increase their working hours.

The Role

As a Morning Club Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring children have a positive and enjoyable start to their school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising children attending the school's Breakfast/Morning Club.

• Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.

• Supporting children with breakfast routines and morning activities.

• Organising age-appropriate games, activities and play.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.

• Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed.

• Supporting a smooth transition from Morning Club into the school day.

Working hours are 7:30am – 9:00am. Candidates must be available during these hours.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a relevant equivalent qualification.

• Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in a Primary School setting.

• Be available to work between 7:30am and 9:00am.

• Be able to provide two references from previous employers, ideally including a recent school or childcare setting.

• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS check.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

• Be punctual, reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.

• Be confident supporting children across different Primary School age groups.

Bonus: Candidates who are also interested in working as After School Club Assistants are strongly encouraged to apply, as additional opportunities may be available.
