The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class and play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition into Upper Key Stage 2.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and creative lessons.
  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress effectively.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and school events.

Person Specification

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a proven track record of delivering good or outstanding lessons.
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and classroom practice.
  • Be committed to raising attainment and outcomes for all pupils.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • Be an excellent team player with strong communication skills.
