We are working with a primary school in the St Helens area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting long-term supply opportunity with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidate!

Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with a genuine interest in Special Educational Needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your skills and make a lasting impact on children's learning and development.

The Role:

  • Supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs.

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils thrive.

  • Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence in the classroom.

  • Supporting children's social, emotional and behavioural development.

  • Working closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a degree at 2:1 level or above.

  • Has a genuine interest in SEN and supporting children's development.

  • Previous experience working with children or within an SEN setting is beneficial but not essential.

  • Is patient, proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic.

  • Has strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
