Customer Service Advisor - West Bromwich - £26,000 – £28,000 per annum - Permanent

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join a well-established business based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

This is a busy, varied position working within the Complaints Department, managing a high volume of customer enquiries and complaints across both telephone and email.

We are looking for someone who is confident dealing with challenging situations, can manage multiple priorities and takes ownership of customer issues through to resolution.

The Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a busy shared customer service and complaints inbox
• Responding to a high volume of customer enquiries via telephone and email
• Handling customer complaints professionally and efficiently
• Taking ownership of queries and working to achieve a satisfactory resolution
• Processing customer returns and associated administration
• Investigating issues and gathering the relevant information to resolve complaints
• Liaising with different internal departments to resolve customer queries
• Keeping customers updated throughout the process
• Maintaining accurate records of complaints, correspondence and outcomes
• Prioritising workloads within a fast-paced environment
• Ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service at all times

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous Customer Service, Complaints or Customer Resolution experience
• Experience dealing with a high volume of telephone and email enquiries
• Confidence handling complaints and challenging customer conversations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent multitasking and organisational skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to liaise effectively with multiple departments
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous
