Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Material Handler to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Wolverhampton area.

THE ROLE

• Operate Counterbalance FLT to move steel and other materials around the site.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely lift and move steel products.
• Load and unload deliveries and vehicles.
• Band and secure steel materials ready for storage or dispatch.
• Handle and organise steel stock within the yard and stores.
• Pick and prepare materials for production and customer orders.
• Carry out general stores duties when required.
• Assist with general yard duties, including keeping materials organised and the area tidy.
• Follow safe lifting, handling and storage procedures at all times.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience working within a steel or metal environment.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and practical experience operating FLTs.
• Previous overhead crane experience.
• Confident moving and handling long, heavy and awkward steel materials using FLT and crane equipment.
• Experience handling steel tube would be preferred but is not essential.
• Good understanding of safe material handling and storage.
• Comfortable working between the warehouse, stores and yard.
• Reliable, practical and safety-conscious.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm

Rotating

Monday to Friday 14:00pm – 22:00pm

PAY RATE

£13.00ph
