Managing Director | QSR & Franchise Operations
Location: Canada – Remote | Ideally Ontario-Based | 40–50% Travel
Salary: $300,000 + Bonus

I am partnering with a well-established, highly successful QSR franchise organization on the search for a Managing Director to lead their Canadian operations.

With a national network of 350+ locations across Canada, this is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an experienced QSR executive who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational leadership and franchisee partnership.

You’ll have overall responsibility for the Canadian operation, driving performance across a significant national portfolio while supporting continued growth, strengthening franchise relationships and ensuring consistent execution across the network.

Reporting directly to the VP, International Operations, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and franchise partners across the country and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the Canadian business.

The Opportunity

This is a role for a commercially driven, highly strategic QSR leader who is comfortable operating at scale and knows how to get the best out of franchise partners, field teams and senior leadership.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the overall Canadian operation across 350+ locations
• Developing and executing the Canadian operational strategy
• Driving sales, profitability, operational performance and guest experience
• Building trusted, long-term relationships with franchisees and key business partners
• Ensuring consistent execution of brand and operational standards across the network
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and franchisee profitability
• Supporting new store openings and continued network expansion
• Partnering with international and senior leadership on strategic initiatives
• Developing and strengthening the Canadian leadership and field organization
• Using data, KPIs and commercial insight to identify opportunities and drive results
• Ensuring the business operates in line with applicable provincial employment and labour legislation
• Traveling across Canada to visit locations, meet franchise partners and support the field organization

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a senior QSR executive with significant franchise experience and a proven track record of leading large-scale operations.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Extensive senior leadership experience within the QSR industry
• Franchise experience is essential
• Experience leading large, multi-unit or national restaurant operations, ideally across 300+ locations
• Strong understanding of the Canadian QSR and franchise landscape
• Experience working across multiple Canadian provinces
• Strong knowledge of provincial employment and labour legislation
• A proven ability to build credibility and strong relationships with franchisees
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen
• A highly analytical and data-driven approach to operational performance
• Experience developing strategies that translate into measurable business results
• The ability to balance long-term strategy with hands-on operational leadership
• Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills
• The flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across Canada
