Courier / Warehouse Operative - Ilkeston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Courier / Warehouse Operative to join our well-established client based in Ilkeston.

This is an excellent opportunity offering a fantastic rate of pay, weekly pay and the opportunity for an immediate start.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment and carrying out picking, packing, loading and unloading duties, including some heavy lifting.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as a Warehouse Operative, Parcel Sorter or Loading Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.75 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 00:00 - 08:30 (midnight to 8:30am)
• Your first shift starts at 00:00 on Tuesday morning, immediately after 23:59 on Monday night
• Your final shift finishes at approximately 08:30 on Saturday morning
• 8.5-hour shifts
• 30-minute break at approximately 04:00, subject to operational requirements

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Courier / Warehouse Operative are:

• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Packing goods accurately and securely
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock around the warehouse
• Carrying out general warehouse duties
• Handling products safely and efficiently
• Completing manual handling duties, including some heavy lifting
• Ensuring goods are prepared correctly and ready for dispatch
• Working as part of a busy warehouse team
• Following all site health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Courier / Warehouse Operative, you will need:

• Reliable and punctual approach to work
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Ability to carry out some heavy lifting
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider warehouse operation

Training:

• Full site-specific training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Support from the People Solutions team throughout the recruitment process
