Salary: £170-£220 per day

TeacherActive is working with a SEND setting in Stoke-on-Trent that supports pupils of mixed ages with a range of additional needs. The setting is looking for committed and adaptable teachers who can create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment.

The SEND Teacher role offers both day-to-day and long-term opportunities, providing flexibility depending on your availability. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting teaching to meet mixed SEND needs and supporting pupils to make progress academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND
• Experience adapting lessons to meet a range of additional needs
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable pupils
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
