Do you have strong subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons across KS3 and KS4?

  is currently recruiting a Qualified Food Technology Teacher to work within a secondary school in the York area. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire pupils while maintaining high standards of behaviour, food hygiene and safety within a practical classroom environment.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons covering areas such as food preparation, nutrition, hygiene and practical cooking skills. Similar Food Technology roles in the area commonly involve teaching across KS3 and KS4 and managing both practical and theory-based learning.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
• Strong knowledge of Food Preparation and Nutrition
• Excellent practical classroom management skills
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan engaging practical and theory lessons
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil development
