KPI Recruiting is looking to build teams of experienced Solar Electricians to support a major UK-wide residential solar installation programme, initially across Crewe and Coventry.

We are interested in speaking with experienced self-employed electricians and solar subcontractors who can provide reliable, high-quality installation support on an ongoing basis.

The Opportunity

You will be completing electrical installation works associated with domestic Solar PV and renewable energy systems.

This is not short-term ad-hoc work. We are looking for reliable subcontractors who want access to a consistent pipeline of installations as the programme continues to grow.

Work will primarily involve:

• Domestic Solar PV electrical installations
• Inverters and associated electrical equipment
• Consumer unit and electrical connection works
• Testing, inspection and commissioning
• Completing relevant installation documentation
• Working alongside roofing / solar installation teams
• Ensuring installations meet current electrical and safety standards

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

• NVQ Level 3 / recognised electrical qualification
• 18th Edition
• 2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification
• Solar PV installation experience
• Domestic electrical installation experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools and appropriate equipment
• Ability to work independently and complete installations to a high standard
• Additional Solar PV, battery storage or renewable energy qualifications would be advantageous

Subcontract Earnings

We are looking at a per-installation / per-job payment model, giving experienced electricians the opportunity to maximise earnings through productivity.

We are also interested in hearing from electricians who would prefer a day-rate contract arrangement, as additional contract support may be required throughout the project.

There is a strong pipeline of installations across both regions, with further locations expected as the programme develops.
