RCV Repairer / HGV Technician
Job Overview

Auto Skills UK are currently recruiting for an experienced RCV Repairer / HGV Technician to join a busy workshop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs), HGVs and other commercial vehicles, helping to ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable and roadworthy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking to join an established and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities
·Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on RCVs and HGVs
·Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
·Carry out vehicle inspections and defect rectification
·Complete preventative and reactive maintenance
·Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
·Ensure vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard
·Complete relevant maintenance records and paperwork
·Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
·Follow company health and safety procedures

Skills & Experience
·Previous experience working on HGVs, RCVs or other commercial vehicles
·Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills
·Experience carrying out servicing and repairs
·Good understanding of vehicle safety and roadworthiness
·Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
·Reliable and safety-conscious approach
·Good attention to detail
·Good communication skills
