Milk Education are currently recruiting for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sheffield who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils' learning, confidence and development.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the classroom, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

You may be supporting individuals, small groups or the wider class, depending on the needs of the school.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum

  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

  • Helping to maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff

  • Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEND or additional learning needs

About You

The school is looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about working with children.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous UK school-based experience is essential

  • Experience working within a primary school setting

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A patient, adaptable and supportive approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable, but relevant UK school experience will also be considered.
