Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Sale

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with complex additional needs?

We are currently looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND setting in Sale on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of children with complex needs and who can provide patient, nurturing and consistent support.

The Role

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism and children who are non-verbal. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide personalised support and help pupils engage with learning and develop their independence.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working in a UK SEND setting is essential

• Experience supporting children with complex needs

• Experience working with children with Autism

• Experience supporting non-verbal children

• A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations

• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs

• Reliable, resilient and committed to making a difference
