TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Ripley, who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring pupils receive the individual support they need to engage with their education and make progress.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal child in Year 4, helping them access classroom activities, communicate effectively and remain engaged throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools

• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs

• Experience providing 1:1 classroom support

• Confidence supporting a non-verbal child with communication and learning

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
