Specifications Technologist

Location: Nantwich
Contract: 6-Month FTC
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Specifications Technologist to join an established business based in the Nantwich area on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, manage and approve product specifications to meet internal standards, customer requirements and relevant legislation.
• Prepare accurate ingredient declarations, nutritional information and allergen data in line with product and customer requirements.
• Generate and review accurate, legally compliant packaging and label copy.
• Review and approve artwork, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and adherence to agreed guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product specifications, technical data and records across relevant systems
• Respond to customer queries relating to product specifications, technical information and artwork, providing clear and timely resolutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current food legislation, labelling regulations and relevant technical/customer requirements.

About You

• Strong knowledge of product specifications, artwork systems and industry codes of practice.
• Experience in a technical, specification or quality role within the food industry.
• Good understanding of customer and retailer specification systems and portals.
• Strong knowledge of food science, manufacturing processes and food safety.
• Experience managing technical customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
