Night Transport Administrator - Rugby, Warwickshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Night Transport Administrator - Rugby, Warwickshire to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire.

This role would be ideal for candidates with experience as a Transport Clerk, Logistics Administrator or Transport Coordinator.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.87 per hour basic rate
• £23.80 per hour overtime rate after 37.5 hours worked
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Sunday: 18:00 - 06:00
• Monday to Thursday: 22:00 - 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Night Transport Administrator are:

• Coordinate driver start and finish times, ensuring all shifts are adequately covered
• Brief and debrief drivers, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Monitor vehicle movements and update systems with live operational information
• Manage route and load allocation in line with operational requirements
• Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD), drivers' hours, and tachograph regulations
• Log trailer numbers and vehicle defects, reporting issues to the relevant departments
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, planners, and management
• Handle PODs and delivery notes, ensuring all documentation is accurately filed and stored
• Maintain accurate transport administration records

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Night Transport Administrator, you will need:

• Previous experience working as a Transport Administrator or in a similar role
• Administration and clerical experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and willingness to work flexibly
