Learning Mentor 

Are you a resilient, empathetic professional with a passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs? We’re seeking a Learning Mentor to join a dynamic supporting Secondary aged pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH for a school in South Liverpool.

This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

What you’ll do:

• Build trusted relationships with pupils aged 11–16, offering emotional and academic support

• Model positive behaviours and attitudes, setting clear boundaries and expectations

• Support pupils with SEMH needs through tailored interventions and mentoring

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote progress and wellbeing

• Help pupils re-engage with learning and prepare for transitions back to mainstream or specialist settings

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience working with children or young people

• Calm, confident presence and strong behaviour management skills

• Ability to be a consistent role model and advocate for vulnerable learners

• Team player with a flexible, solution-focused approach

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
