Monday - Friday | 8:30am – 15:30pm | £107.71 daily rate

We are currently hiring Teaching Assistants to join Primary Schools based across North Durham. Whether you have a plethora of experience or you’re just starting your career in Education, this could be the opportunity for you!

Teaching Assistant: Main Responsibilities:

• Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
• Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
• Inspire children to engage in lessons consistently
• Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies

The role of a Teaching Assistant is one which is incredibly rewarding. You have the chance to support and encourage students through their education and make it a positive transition into further learning. The forefront of your responsibility will lie in small group and 1:1 work, providing additional support for those who need it.

Teaching Assistant: Requirements or Skills:

• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred)
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning
• Patience and a calm approach to assisting others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
