An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with 4+ years of UK experience to join a thriving, RCVS Tier 2 accredited veterinary hospital in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident GP Veterinary Surgeon looking to enjoy clinical freedom, work alongside an exceptionally experienced team, and develop their skills within a modern, well-equipped hospital.

Established in 1998, the practice provides high-quality, 24/7 veterinary care from a purpose-built hospital with separate dog, cat and small mammal facilities. As a recognised Cat Friendly Practice, patient welfare and exceptional client care are at the heart of everything the team does.

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will become part of a highly supportive and collaborative team, working alongside clinicians with over 20 years' experience, a Feline Medicine Certificate holder, Dermatology Certificate holder, two Surgical Certificate holders, an Advanced Practitioner, experienced GP vets, skilled RVNs, dedicated receptionists and an experienced Practice Director. This wealth of expertise creates an excellent environment for both professional development and collaborative case management.

The practice offers an interesting and varied first opinion GP caseload with access to excellent diagnostic facilities, including a CT scanner, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and an in-house laboratory, allowing vets to work cases to a high clinical standard.

A flexible approach to work-life balance is encouraged, with rota patterns open for discussion. Whether the successful candidate prefers a traditional 4-day week with just 1 in 6 weekends or requires a more tailored working arrangement, the practice is happy to accommodate wherever possible.
