The school adopts a highly personalised and therapeutic approach to learning, creating a structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally while building confidence and independence.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time ASC Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful ASC Teaching Assistant will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex behavioural needs, delivering tailored interventions, promoting positive behaviour strategies and helping pupils to access learning in a safe, engaging and supportive classroom environment.

The successful ASC Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Advanced knowledge of working with pupils with ASC and challenging behaviour
• Experience within a specialist education or SEND setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach to supporting learning
