Locum Veterinary Surgeon (Sole Charge) – Small Animal Practice | Buckinghamshire | Up to £500 Day Rate | No OOH

An established independent small animal veterinary practice in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide sole charge cover across a number of upcoming shifts.

This opportunity is ideal for a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for a well-paid, low-stress locum role within a supportive, family-owned independent veterinary group. The position offers an excellent work-life balance with no out-of-hours (OOH) or on-call commitments.

The successful Locum Vet will join a friendly and well-equipped practice, providing high-quality clinical care and consultations in a sole charge setting.

Role Overview

• Position: Locum Veterinary Surgeon (Sole Charge)
• Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire
• Type: Locum / Temporary Veterinary Role
• Practice Type: Independent Small Animal Veterinary Practice
• Hours: 9:00am – 7:00pm (including 1-hour unpaid lunch)
• OOH / On-Call: None
• Payment: All forms of payment accepted

Available Shift Dates

• Friday 10th July
• Wednesday 29th July
• Wednesday 5th August
• Wednesday 12th August
• Thursday 13th August
• Friday 14th August
• Monday 17th August
• Thursday 20th August

Rates of Pay

• £400 – £500 per full day worked
• £300 for a half Saturday shift
• £40 per hour for weekday shifts shorter than 9 hours

While accommodation is not available, a £60 per night worked allowance may be considered. A rate adjustment may apply where accommodation support is provided.
