We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well known-site near Preston!

This vacancy qualifies for a retention bonus of £1,000, payable to employees who remain employed and are not serving a notice period at the time the bonus is due.

Contract Information:

Pay Rate: £15.30 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, 06:30am to 18:30pm/18:30pm to 06:30am, 2 days 2 nights

Please note- you must be a British National and have been a resident in the United Kingdom for a minimum of 10 years and apply with a full CV for consideration for this role. This vacancy is subject to Enhanced Developed Vetting, which may take up to 12 months.

As a Security Officer at G4S, you will be entrusted with responsibilities beyond those of a conventional Security Guard. Your role will encompass ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, their premises, and assets, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment and pride ourselves on adherence to stringent policies and regulatory requirements.

It's a varied role that includes greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises and dealing with security incidents. Our Perfect Worker

A valid SIA badge is a prerequisite. Prior security experience is advantageous. While a CCTV operator's licence is desirable, it is not mandatory, as training can be provided.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess strong communication skills, demonstrate teamwork, and be committed to delivering a consistently friendly and professional service. Proficiency in IT is essential, as is a robust security mindset.

Candidates must exhibit flexibility and be available to work a varied shift pattern, encompassing days, nights, and weekends. Opportunities for additional shifts to cover sickness and annual leave are also available.
