KPI Education are partnering with an ambitious and high-performing secondary school in Islington to appoint a driven and academically strong Graduate School Tutor. This role is specifically focused on GCSE and A-Level preparation, making it ideal for graduates who enjoy subject depth, exam strategy and measurable academic impact.

Graduate Tutors play a key role in raising attainment and ensuring students are fully prepared for the demands of public examinations.

The Role

As a Graduate School Tutor, your focus will be on exam preparation and academic mentoring across KS4 and KS5. You will:

• Deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions for GCSE and A-Level students
• Support pupils with exam technique, revision planning and subject mastery
• Provide targeted support for borderline grade students and high achievers aiming for top grades
• Assist departments with structured revision programmes and holiday booster sessions
• Track pupil progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
• Work closely with Heads of Department to identify key intervention priorities

Subject areas of particular interest include English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL and Psychology.

This is an academically rigorous role, suited to graduates who are confident in their subject knowledge and able to explain complex concepts clearly.

Who We’re Looking For

• A First-Class or strong 2:1 degree (core subjects strongly preferred)
• Excellent A-Level and GCSE results
• Strong academic writing and analytical skills
• A clear interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
• Confident communicator with the ability to motivate older students
• Organised, proactive and resilient

Previous tutoring experience is desirable but not essential — the school is primarily seeking intellectual confidence and a genuine commitment to raising attainment.
