Claims Handler

Location: Wyboston

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 (one Saturday in five)

We are recruiting a Claims Handler on behalf of a well-established Wyboston based client. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

As a Claims Handler, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end claims process, ensuring instructions are logged accurately, jobs are dispatched efficiently, and customers receive a high level of service throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logging information thoroughly on internal IT system
• Dispatching jobs accurately and updating job management systems with notes and tasks
• Collecting policyholder excess payments accurately and confidentially
• Using secure payment systems to take payments for excesses, repairs and private works
• Raising and issuing accurate invoices
• Sending customer feedback communications
• Answering telephone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
• Ordering consumables and arranging stock distribution for engineers
• Keeping online portals up to date with relevant information and dates

Skills & Experience Required:

• Courteous, professional and confident telephone manner
• Proactive and organised approach to work
• Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Empathetic, discreet and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team
