And right now, we’re looking for a Shift Operator (Operator 3 . Based at our Capenhurst Site you’ll work as part of a flexible team across all operations facilities at UUK to deliver tasks specified on work plans to ensure operations facilities achieve their targeted outputs.

What will your day look like?

• Safe and rigorous operations of a nuclear enrichment plant
• Understand and carry out operations in line with approved safety and operational procedures to ensure all activities are performed in a safely and consistent way.
• Carry out Emergency roles as per the site emergency plan and Operations team requirements to ensure department maintains readiness to manage emergency situations.
• Hold various SSOW roles such as Permit Issuer, Isolating Authority and Permit Issuer to ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with site SSOW to maintain safety standards.
• Be an active participant on the journey to zero harm to ensure that yourself and colleagues remain safe and free from harm during their work.
• Maintain 5S area to standard
• Carries out maintenance to process plant or equipment in line with competencies and training.

What do you need to be great at this role?
 

• You’ll hold a Process/Craft apprenticeship or several years equivalent chemical/Nuclear Process plant operating experience.
• Demonstrable understanding of Vacuum technology and principles, PLC basics
• Experience of issuing permits on high hazard environments would be advantageous

The salary range for this posiiton is £44,994-£49,752 plus a Shift Allowance of £19,303.
