We’re currently recruiting for a Reception Teacher in Sefton. This Reception Teacher role is 3 days a week, and you will teach a class of 28 children, with support from two full-time TAs who support SEND Children. This role is on a long-term basis and is a temporary role until Jan 2027 . If you are looking for full-time the role will then cover from Jan as a full-time mat cover 

You’ll be joining a vibrant and caring school, focused on supporting children to be respectful and kind. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Teaching the children in class and ensuring they complete their work to a high standard
• Guiding children through the curriculum, marking work and setting homework tasks
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong

Requirements or Skills:

• A teaching qualification with QTS
• Recent teaching experience in a school or education setting
• Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Exceptional organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
