FLT Reach Driver / Warehouse Operative – Barnsley (S75)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Reach Driver to join our well-established client based in Barnsley (S75).

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday-to-Friday working, weekly pay and ongoing work within an established and supportive warehouse environment.

£14.81 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | 8:30am–5:00pm | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Stable Working Hours

Please note: This is a combined FLT Reach Driver and Warehouse Operative position. Approximately 30% of your working time will involve operating a Reach Truck, with the remaining time spent supporting general warehouse operations and manual handling duties.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an FLT Reach Driver, Reach Truck Driver, Forklift Truck Operator, FLT Warehouse Operative or Warehouse Operative with a valid Reach Truck licence.

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Reach Driver, your duties will include:

 • Operating a Reach Truck for approximately 30% of your working time
 • Picking stock orders from warehouse storage locations using a Reach Truck
 • Handling stock including liquid powders and ink
 • Carrying out general warehouse and manual handling duties
 • Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
 • Moving and organising stock safely and efficiently
 • Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment
 • Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills

 • Valid FLT Reach Truck licence
 • Confidence operating a Reach Truck safely
 • Willingness to undertake general warehouse duties for approximately 70% of the working day
 • Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties
 • Reliable approach to work and good work ethic
 • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • Strong attention to detail

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience as an FLT Reach Driver or Forklift Truck Operator
 • Previous experience working within a busy warehouse environment

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training
 • Ongoing support throughout your assignment
