TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school offers a welcoming and supportive environment, with a strong staff team who work together to ensure pupils receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from ASAP until July 2027, working across all Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide a mixture of general classroom and 1:1 support, assisting with learning activities, helping pupils remain engaged and working closely with class teachers to support individual learning needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Experience supporting children within a mainstream primary school

• Experience working with pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2

• Confidence providing both general classroom and 1:1 support

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff

• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
