TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Maidstone, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a positive and motivated individual who can create an engaging learning environment and support younger pupils in developing their confidence, independence and love of learning.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, working within Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS or Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Teaching Assistant will need to be immediately available, flexible and confident in supporting phonics, early literacy and numeracy, delivering engaging learning activities and assisting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 2 or Level 3 (desirable but not essential)

• Previous experience working within Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS (essential)

• Experience supporting pupils within EYFS or Key Stage 1 in a mainstream primary school setting

• A good understanding of the EYFS Framework, phonics and early childhood development

• Strong communication skills and the ability to support engaging classroom activities

• An energetic, positive and flexible approach to supporting children's learning and development
