Director of Hotel Sales

Location: Bossier City, Louisiana
Salary: $92,000–$127,000

We’re partnering with a new hospitality property in Louisiana that is looking for a Director of Hotel Sales to help build the commercial side of the hotel and get the sales team off to a strong start.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be out in the market, building relationships, bringing in new business and looking for ways to grow hotel revenue. You’ll also lead and support the sales team, making sure everyone has the tools, direction and support they need to succeed.

If you’re someone who enjoys being in front of clients, knows how to build a strong pipeline and can turn relationships into business, this could be a great fit.

About You

• You have several years of experience in hotel sales, with previous leadership experience
• You know how to build a sales strategy and turn it into actual results
• You’re comfortable managing and developing a team and getting the best out of people
• You have a strong network across corporate, business, travel or local accounts
• You’re confident using sales data, forecasts and market information to make decisions
• You’re naturally good with people and comfortable presenting, negotiating and winning business
• You understand the importance of both new business and looking after existing relationships
• Hotel catering or banquets experience would be a bonus
• Experience within a casino or gaming environment would be helpful

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of the hotel’s sales efforts and help shape the strategy as the property grows
• Build a strong pipeline of new business and turn prospects into long-term clients
• Spend time in the market meeting clients, attending events and developing new connections
• Lead and support the sales team, including coaching, training and performance management
• Work alongside the wider hotel leadership team to identify opportunities and drive revenue
• Keep track of sales activity, forecasts and results and use this information to guide the team
• Look at the local market and competition to spot where the hotel can win more business
• Help manage the sales budget and make sure spend is being used effectively
• Build relationships across the local business and travel community and become a strong representative for the property
• Bring energy, ideas and a commercial mindset to the role as the hotel establishes itself in the market
