The schools offer positive learning environments where staff are supported to develop their classroom experience, build strong relationships with students and progress within education.

The schools are looking for Cover Supervisors to work on a full-time basis from September, delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. This Cover Supervisor role is an excellent stepping stone for Teaching Assistants, Sports Coaches, aspiring teachers and overseas-trained teachers, with full training provided for candidates ready to progress into classroom-based work.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally as a Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach or within another educational setting
• Confidence working with groups of young people and leading classroom activities
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and school staff
• A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine enthusiasm for progressing within education
