Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who’s seeking a new role to enhance the Welsh culture in a school setting?

Are you a confident fluent Welsh speaker that can support young children in the language to develop their literacy and oral skills?

Have you had experience working with children that have additional learning needs including autism, ADHD and PMLD?

The Primary School aim to set a firm foundation for a bright future for every pupil, ensuring they have the best education possible and are able to develop into positive individuals. They strive to achieve a caring learning community through the support of parents, governors and the local authority. 

The Primary School are looking for a devoted Teaching Assistant who’s looking for a new opportunity to support in their SRB class on a full time basis until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate fluently in the Welsh language and get stuck in with day to day activities working alongside the classroom teacher to create an exciting and engaging learning environment for all pupils taking into consideration of their individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Teaching Assistant/Childcare qualification OR at least 6 months experience working with children
• Fluent verbal and written Welsh ability
• Experience working with children that have ALN
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to build valued and trusted relationships with students
• A can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work
• Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
